  • Just a few days before the NBA Draft, the Wizards traded their Number 5 Draft Pick, Etan Thomas, Oleksiy Pecherov, and Darius Songaila to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Randy Foye and Mike Miller.
  • On draft day, the Wiz traded the rights to Jermaine Taylor, the 32nd overall pick, to the Rockets for $2.5 million cash.
  • According to the Washington Post, players that interest the Wizards include Fabricio Oberto, Rasho Nesterovic, Channing Frye, Sean Marks, Jamaal Magloire, Chris Wilcox and Brian Skinner, big men that can provide 10-15 minutes of solid, off-the-bench play.  Another player that I find endearing is Orlando backup center Marcin Gortat, who was money coming off the bench behind Dwight Howard (until the finals, of course).
