CAPS Update

Early in the creation of this blog, we had a few posts about the future of some current Caps and the direction in which they were headed.  Well heres an new update on the Capitals.
  • Donald Brashear, who was condidering a move to Russia, instead signed a 2 year, $2.8 million contract with the New York Rangers.  The Rangers replaced their departing enforcer, Colton Orr, with our enforcer.
  • Two former Capitals ditched the team for Russia: Viktor Kozlov signed with Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Kontinental Hockey League last month, and Sergei Federov left to play with his brother Fedor, signing a two year deal with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the same league as Kozlov.
  • As previously posted, the Caps signed Mike Knuble, addressing their need for a scoring wing opposite of Ovechkin.
